Chariots of the Gods

This was a silly book.

One of the inspirations for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the book has some great ideas and very interesting theories, but the author comes off as a complete wack job.

The idea behond the book is that we should accept that the earth was visited by highly intelligent space beings in our ancient history.  However, the author results to just pointing things out and just saying “WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE?  IT HAS TO BE ALIENS!”

Easter Islands Statues?  Too heavy to move by humans alone.  WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

Egyptian Pyramids?  Too technologically advanced for the people of the day.  WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

He whines on and on about how scientists and archeologists REFUSE to look at the possibility that we may have been “bred” by an alien race.  But he offers no other reason other than WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE?

It was a fun read, and in several places the author DOES make you think…but he comes off mostly as a whiny brat no one listens too.
